The Doctoral Program in Social and Political Thought is a 4 year degree program. It is an interdisciplinary program, sustained by various forms of normative reflection, theorising, and empirical research drawn from humanities and social science disciplines. In the first year of the program, PhD candidates will undertake a year of coursework, consisting of research seminars (4 distinct units), taught by the academic staff of the Institute for Social Justice. The remaining three years will be devoted to writing the PhD thesis with close supervision and support from ISJ staff.
