The Diploma in Liberal Studies provides students from diverse backgrounds with a flexible one-year introduction to tertiary studies through the completion of 80cp of Arts units. Students completing the Diploma may choose their units from a wide range of Arts subjects. The Diploma in Liberal Studies may be completed as a stand-alone award, or may be used as a pathway to further study in the Bachelor of Arts, the Bachelor of Education (Primary), or the Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts. Students may choose units from the following disciplines (subject to campus availability): communication computing digital journalism drama economics geography healthy development history literature mathematics media music philosophy politics and international relations psychology sociology study of religions theological studies visual arts
