Areas of research are in Celtic Archaeology of all periods, especially Wales, Ireland and Celtic Europe. Staff interests include: early medieval sculpture; early medieval church archaeology; Viking-Age Iceland and Britain and Ireland; prehistoric landscape archaeology; Celtic societies: the Iron Age; Celtic heritage and identity; history of archaeology.

A research degree such as a PhD will allow you to explore your chosen field under your own terms, driven by your own questions and intrigue under the guidance of an experienced research professional.
