This program provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform effectively in entry-level bookkeeping positions in business and industry. The program focuses on day-to-day operational bookkeeping and managerial accounting in a computerized business environment. Upon completion of the certificate, students are eligible to receive credit for eight of the nine courses required by the Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping (CIB). Three years of relevant bookkeeping experience are also required for the Certified Bookkeeper designation.

Graduates will be prepared for employment in small business, as well as entry-level positions in medium- and large-sized corporations. Graduates of this program would also be eligible to apply directly to Level 3 of Conestoga College's Business Administration - Accounting diploma program.
