Graduates from this programme will have opportunities for employment within The BA (Hons) Education Studies develops skills that are particularly useful for students who intend to build a career working with young children. While this is likely to mean employment in primary schools, it can also include nursery and other pre and after-school settings. Many of our recent graduates have started their careers in; teaching (PGCE), education practice, nurseries, youth work and educational publishing for example. We also offer a range of postgraduate opportunities, including an Education Studies MA. You can choose to study for a PGCE in your other subject at school or college level. While the majority of our students choose to follow a career in teaching, the degree opens up opportunities to work in a number of wider educational environments, including youth and community work, local authority employment, social and educational research and early years settings.
