The Master of Design Futures is designed for people wishing to be pathfinders in change toward viable futures. It recognises that many of the climatic, social, environmental and geopolitical challenges facing humanity demand urgent attention. In this degree, you will explore where and how design leadership can make a difference. Specifically, you will explore 'sustainment' - an affirmative form of 'futuring', new practices and change strategies. Through this concept, you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to become an effective change agent within organisations and as an entrepreneur.

You will be able to provide leadership and acquire new practices going beyond the expanding area of environmentally sustainable design. You will be able to apply these practices in areas such as strategic environmental planning and policy, business, product design and built environment. You will be equipped to work with individuals, industry, local institutions and government agencies to effect change in societal attitudes towards the process and outcome of design practices.
