This graduate diploma builds on the technical skills developed in our Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and is the final two years of professional training needed for eligibility to apply for registration as a dentist. You will develop theoretical knowledge of dental practice and undertake extensive clinical work in the Griffith Dental Clinic and on placements in various regional clinics. You can only enter this degree if you have successfully completed the Griffith University Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science program.

As a registered dentist, you will be in demand in private practice, the public sector including public hospitals, school dental clinics, and the armed services. Postgraduate study and research can also lead to a career in academic teaching or speciality practice.
