The Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design focuses on the generation of ideas and the creative and exciting ways they can be visually communicated across a range of print and digital media. Throughout this major, students will master industry specific software, critical design thinking, visual problem solving and authentic production techniques through a range of industry relevant projects. In the final year, students will work with real world clients and develop a portfolio encompassing both print (branding and publication design) as well as digital products (web and mobile app design) for a dynamic and rapidly changing global design industry. Graduates are particularly suited for careers in all aspects of Graphic Design including publication and prepress design, branding and identity design, information design, signage design, digital design, web design and or development, mobile app design, interaction design, interface design and digital content development. The aim of the Honours year is to extend your grasp of the principles and practice of the subject, to develop ability for independent research, and to facilitate your entry into industry employment. An Honours qualification is normally required for admission to higher research degree study.
