This Level 4 programme is the only one of its kind in New Zealand, and has been specifically designed by Cornerstone Education Limited and the Bicycle Industry Association of NZ (BIANZ) to meet the training demands of the industry. With the increasing popularity of cycle tourism and cycling in New Zealand, the need for qualified senior Bicycle Mechanics and training personnel is growing. This qualification has been developed in consultation with industry to provide relevant, up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge. It has also been developed to align with comparable trade certificates offered in Australia, the UK and beyond, so skills gained during this qualification will be transferable overseas. This Certificate is ideal if you have existing skills in bicycle service and repair but wish to extend your capability to a more advanced level so that you can undertake leading hand and/or training roles in the industry. Programme content will be delivered at our Central Campus and through work experience placements. The condensed delivery schedule makes it a great qualification to study alongside your current employment or work experience. Our workshop facilities will provide you with the perfect learning environment to utilise the theoretical skills you have learned and to gain the hands-on experience needed for employment.
