Certificate I in Spoken and Written English

Course Description

Improve your English language skills so that you can complete further education and training, seek and maintain employment, or actively participate in your community. This program is designed for newly-arrived migrants and refugees who qualify for the Adult Migrant Education Program (AMEP) government-funded classes. Prior to commencing your studies, your existing skills will be assessed and you will enter the program at either beginner level (Certificate I), intermediate level (Certificate II) or advanced level (Certificate III). All classes are taught in a friendly, supportive environment with excellent resources to support your studies.

Your improved English language skills will help you find employment, provide a foundation for further study and increase your participation in the English-speaking community. Further English studies and other RMIT programs are available to graduates if eligible.
