You know that you could make it a better place. Sounds like you have a "social conscience" and are looking for a way to use your talents and compassion to help others. A degree in social work may be what you are looking for.

Students in the BSSW Program look forward to careers in a wide variety of settings. Recent graduates obtained jobs in child abuse and neglect, in geriatric services, in probation and parole, in drug abuse treatment, in juvenile courts, in domestic violence, in home health care, and many other areas. Labor Dept. projections indicate a steady demand in social work jobs in the years ahead.
