BiologyBiology is the study of all living things and the way that life is structured, functions, and evolves. There is something of interest for everyone: anatomy, botany, cytology, ecology, genetics, immunology, microbiology, physiology, and zoology. Some of today's most important social issues — fuel alternatives, genetically modified foods/organisms, global climate change, and stem sell research — can best be studied and understood by those with backgrounds in biology.

Our undergraduate curriculum prepares students for careers in medicine, dentistry, optometry, nursing, veterinary sciences, law, biodiversity conservation, ecology, microbiology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics, as well as graduate studies in all fields of biology. A high percentage of our undergraduates are admitted to graduate and professional programs in top-ranked schools nationwide.
