The LANTITE is not yet a requirement for graduation or registration for students in Queensland. We are encouraging our final year students to sit the test this year. Successfully completing the literacy and numeracy test may be advantageous to our students' future employment prospects, particularly if they are planning to teach in other States or Territories that have made the test compulsory from 2016. The University has made a significant commitment to our initial teacher education programs and students in undertaking to meet students' expenses in sitting the test. Please contact the School of Education for further details (education@.uq.edu.au) or visit the School of Education office.
