Course Description

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree prepares its students for successful leadership roles and management careers in the public and nonprofit sector. MPA graduates pursue careers in local, state, or federal agencies of government, nonprofit organizations, and special service districts. Students seeking their Master of Public Administration explore methods for creating enhanced partnership and collaboration within, and across, public service organizations. The objective of the MPA degree is to advance students� skill sets offered through an extensive management and public policy curriculum. This program advances MPA graduates� knowledge and leadership potential and ultimately enhances their contributions to social, cultural, economic, ethical and technological development and advancement of public and nonprofit organizations in which they serve. The MPA degree prepares students pursuing careers in public and nonprofit organizations in such occupations as city and county managers, government or nonprofit administrators, financial directors, policy and management analysts, human resource management directors, and management consultants.
