The Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MEI) is designed to give individuals the creative, intellectual, and motivational skills necessary to create and identify new opportunities and to start their own businesses, or initiate new ventures within existing companies. Students will engage with the teaching material in the classroom, and through entrepreneurial project work, a field trip, and relationships with mentors. After observing and engaging with existing entrepreneurial ventures, students will embark on the development of their own start-up ideas within regional and global contexts, guided by academic staff and industry mentors. To achieve their entrepreneurial goals, students will learn industry-specific knowledge from experts, in particular industrial sectors that best coincide with students’ venture ideas. Examples of possible sectors include travel and tourism, agribusiness/aquaculture, and high technology. This course is full fee-paying, which means that domestic students will be charged at the full fee-paying rate listed for each unit.
