This specialisation is the study of restoring degraded, damaged or destroyed ecosystems through active human intervention. This specialisation is for students who wish to develop a career focussed on ecological restoration or conservation biology. With some 3000 community-based restoration projects currently being undertaken in New Zealand, there is strong demand for graduates able to address key issues of this field.
