BSc (Hons) Human Biology

Course Description

* The first year of this human biology degree will introduce you to genetics, microbiology, nutrition and physiology, as well as biological chemistry, the musculoskeletal system, experimental design and data manipulation. You will develop your knowledge in the second year, exploring areas such as vertebrate zoology, animal behaviour and sociobiology, medical microbiology, human genetics, endocrinology, metabolism and the renal system, and nutrition and the alimentary canal. The final year is your chance to gain specialist knowledge of biological anthropology, tropical medicine, clinical biochemistry and pharmacology, clinical and molecular immunology, and research in an area of your choice.
