This course is for local and international students who are already working or intend to work in professions dealing with culturally diverse clients and stakeholders. Its for people who would like to develop detailed knowledge and understanding of difference and diversity, and in-depth analytical and research skills to investigate the ways in which this difference is shaped by social categories of race, gender, disability, class, and religion. Students will develop theoretical knowledge and research skills that have practical application to their profession, whether it's policing, criminology, social work, policy analysis or research. Two of the subjects in this specialisation are core units that all students must complete. It is therefore possible to add two more elective units from this specialisation and graduate with a double major.
