Course Description

The PhD programme in the School of Information Management (SIM) is the largest in the Victoria Business School, with usually in excess of 30 students. SIM offers the PhD in: Information Systems (INFO 690) Information Studies (INFO 691) Students entering SIM’s PhD programme are required to take and pass four research preparation courses within their provisional registration period. The courses are designed to help you develop a strong research proposal within your first year of registration. The courses are: Making a Contribution to Theory (INFO 512) Quantitative Research Methods (INFO 513) Qualitative Research Methods (INFO 514) Experimental and Design Science Research Strategies (INFO 515) Victoria Doctoral Scholarships are available for exceptional students, and these are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and/or research experience and publication record.
