The Culinary Arts Year 1 programme will provide students with the requisite skills and knowledge to work as chefs in intermediate positions producing complex dishes. Students will develop cookery skills to prepare, cook and present food employing complex preparation and presentation techniques. The programme will also provide students with the knowledge to monitor and maintain health and safety, food safety and security practices, and standard operating policies and procedures to work roles in a commercial kitchen.
