The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge of health and safety requirements, safe working practices, and the use of timber, other construction materials, machinery and equipment within the construction industry. Students will gain the skills to safely set-up, operate and maintain specific machinery and equipment on a construction site. This course includes NZQA unit standards 12997, 12999, 24351, 24354 and 24360.
