Aim: The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge of the components and operation of automotive brake, steering and suspension systems. Students will develop skills in cleaning automotive components, engine short block assembly and general repairs, and removing and replacing brake pads, brake shoes and cam belts. This course includes NZQA unit standards 237, 924, 925, 5466 and 15446.
