The aim of this course is to introduce students to the hairdressing industry and work practices within a commercial salon environment. Students will develop fundamental skills and knowledge in providing client service and care, and salon health, safety and hygiene practices. Students will also prepare an introductory curriculum vitae and evidence portfolio relevant to the hair and beauty industry. NZQA unit standards 26622 and 26625.
