Graduate Certificate Public Relations - Investor Relations

Course Description

The Public Relations - Investor Relations (IRM) Program is an intensive learning experience that prepares its graduates to help companies listed on public stock exchanges to establish constructive, ethical relationships with their shareholders and other investors, and with financial analysts and with the financial - and investment media. The Program combines five first-semester subjects from Seneca's Public Relations - Corporate Communications (PRC) Program with nine specialized Investor Relations subjects including Introduction to Investor Relations, Financial Literacy, Crisis Management and Communications, Going Public, Ethics & Professionalism and four others (see courses section). After completing the IRM Program, graduates are ready to assume entry-level jobs as investor relations practitioners with publicly traded companies in the financial services, natural resources and manufacturing sectors, with investor relations consultancies, with the financial communications and corporate communications arms of public relations agencies, with associations and organizations that regulating capital markets, and as financial communicators in the corporate communications and public relations divisions of publicly traded companies.

Career outcomes
