he MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a Year Abroad is a four-year course where you will study advanced engineering techniques and also develop additional knowledge in aspects of management and commercial practice within industry. The year abroad offers you the opportunity to spend one year (normally the second or third year) studying at one of several leading international universities in countries such as America, Australia, Canada and Malaysia. If you decide to spend a year at our campus in Malaysia the second year of the degree is taken at The University of Nottingham in Malaysia at the purpose-built campus just outside Kuala Lumpar, where you will study the same modules at the Nottingham students. Alternatively, you can spend your third year at one of the universities forming the Universitas 21 network.

With the broad range of skills you will acquire from this degree, you will have excellent career prospects in areas as diverse as software development, fibre optic and mobile communications, aerospace technology, automotive systems and renewable energy technologies. Graduates with a MEng degree will have studied technical subjects to a more advanced level than BEng, and also benefited from workshops concerning various aspects of company practice led by managers/engineers from industry.
