Course Description

Anthropology is the study of human life. At Waikato we take you on an exploration of socio-cultural anthropology, the investigation of the immense richness and diversity of human social and cultural life. Anthropologists seek to understand how humans build meaningful lives, whether living in a small village or a large metropolitan area. By studying Anthropology, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of humanity and the societies that we live in. The anthropologists at Waikato share a common interest in the Pacific region, which is a focus of our teaching and research.
